could it be that they dont really believe the crap they are preaching ? and the only reason they become evangelist is because of the money , to them its all a show ?

It's all about money and preying on people's weaknesses. You threaten someone with the concept of 'hell' and they'll whip right into shape and send in whatever money they've got.

Money can have an ill-effect on many good people, if they would live humble lives instead of the decadence they have grown accustomed to than they would be closer to God.

The Prosperity Gospel--many believe that "God doesn't want his children going without" and that wealth is a sign that God is pleased with you.
SO, I guess God must have been really PO'd at that Jesus guy, because he was dirt poor.
