I didn't explain it that well. I mean, i'm applying to get into the photography program and it says 35mm slides or digital format on a cdr. It seems like it wanted 35mm more though. There are websites i can submit my digital pictures to to get them to be 35mm but is there even a point?

It depends on what you are submitting it for.

I guess this all depends on the subject. If you are in Photography class I might think that 35mm Slides would be the best.
But in all the rest I would say that digital it the way to go, it's faster and you have better equipment with today's projectors to show digitals then you do slides.
So you need to figure out what you think is going to be the most creative way to improve your grade.

If you are asking about an admissions portfolio, the college will tell you if they have preferences.

If it's print or transparenies, the largest format available, up to 8 x 10 is best.

If digital files are requested or allowed, think about the highest resolution original files you have available. If the original file is of a low resolution, the image is probably not good enough. Don't make the "rookie" mistake of simply upping the resolution of a small file. It won't help and makes you look like you don't know how to handle the digital format.

I slide isn't really a slide unless it's on film.
