heartburn possible. it is quite common, especially in pregnancy. the acid from the stomach is being pushed out and therefore creating the burning sensation.

It sounds like heartburn to me, which is different than acid reflux disease. Acid reflux is the continuous over production of the stomach in producing stomach acid. Their are three reasons you get heartburn.
The first is because of your stomach over producing stomach acid (not necessarily all the time) which causes it to back up into your esophagus. Once this occurs you will receive a burning sensation because of the pH of the stomach acid. pH is a description of acidity, and in the case of stomach acid it has the pH of 2. This is about the same as battery acid or hydrochloric acid.
The second reason is that if you eat real acidic foods like hot peppers, pickles, tomato sauce, etc then you are only adding to the acid already in your stomach. This can cause an over abundance of the acid in your stomach which can also back up into the esophagus.
The third reason is because of the sphincter that connects your esophagus to your stomach has gotten lazy. It opens and closes as you eat and drink during the day. Once you stop eating, the sphincter closes so that all the contents in your stomach don't back up into the esophagus. What happens though is that the sphincter gets lazy and doesn't close all the way which allows stomach acid to seep up into your stomach when you are laying down, or in any position that allows the acid to backflow with the help of gravity. Carbonated drinks and caffeine have a huge role in relaxing your stomach sphincter and making it lazy so I would stay away from these and it should help.
To treat the heartburn, take a pepcid complete or zantac 150. I personally recommend zantac 150 as I have had really good luck with it myself. It is a pill you can buy over the counter and works by reducing the amount of acid your stomach produces. If you want immediate relief, then get the pepcid complete chewable tablets. Chew one or two of those and you should be good to go. Hope this helps, stay healthy.

all of the above are good answers
heartburn or acid reflux (where stomach acid slips past the valve in your stomach that is supposed to keep it bottled up.. the result burns your esophagus.).
Heartburn is sometimes just from that extra spicy taco.
Pepto Bismal / Malox for the heartburn
Pepcid for the reflux (it slows down the production of your stomach acid - but it will take a while to work).
Both are ok for a quick fix, but if it keeps coming back go see a doctor... the word ULCER may be something to consider and that is MD time for sure.
hope you feel better

Ah yes, it's what we doctors call EPSBS (Extreme Penile Sock Burn Syndrome). It happens usually to males aged 13-21. The AMA has lobbied Capitol Hill to ban the manufacture of nylon and polyester in socks as that seems to be the cause of the syndrome. Do not worry; the prognosis is usually good. The penis heals rather fast. Try to abstain from masturbation for 3 days until the lesion is gone. If you must masturbate, do so using your fingers and try to avoid the sore area. Keep the area clean. Usually no ointment is needed but you may use one for mild burns such as Neosporin. But for godsakes man, throw out all polyester socks and buy only cotton!
