The best thing that you can do is to communicate with the SPAM manufacturer and order the number of cans you need.
You can use an alibi such as utilizing the kind of can which matches the specific dimensions of their cans for your experiment.
So take the initiative to surf the SPAM manufacturer in the internet. Good luck....

What happened to the old fashioned "Spam Key"?
There used to be a key soldered to the top of the can, and you would pull it off, and then engage the end of the strip of metal on the side of the can , in the slot on the end of the Spam-Key. Then by turning the Spam-key, the end of the can would come off.
I liked the old style Spam-Key better than the newer ring-pull.
It was easier to get the spam out, because you had some room to stick a fork in the edge of the Spam.

Umm, if it has rounded edges, it's not square.
