I'm a multi tasker and I have a desk job that gets me frustrated sometimes. When I get that way I just want to go away but can't so I end up snacking. I don't smoke and I don't chew gum. What are some ideas for me to do at my desk while working to keep me from reaching for chips coke and candy?

I hear that drinking water instead of snacking works & actually fills up your belly so that you won't be as hungry. Or you could also try having healthier snacks at you desk, such as granola bars, or the calorie portioned crackers or animal crackers, yogurt (in the fridge), fruit, etc.

Eat fruit. Banana, apple, pear, cherries, blueberries, whatever it is that you like. But try to vary the different fruits between breaks or for snacks so as not to build up with one type of fruit only. Gives energy after about a week, more patience, more stamina, more mental acuity. Drink a bottle of pure water while eating the fruit. This helps heal any problems internally and also flushes the system of unwanted toxins. Hope this helps!

Add some protein and fiber to your diet. Pack your self some healthy snacks like fresh fruits and veggies. Some ideas, buy a small lunch box and pack things like grapes, baby carrots, celery, cherry tomatoes. Even if you get hungry these are some better alternatives to chips and a coke.

nothing wrong with eating snacks it's what the snacks are comprised of. instead of drinking coke and eating chips drink lemon flavored water and eat beef jerky, nuts, seeds, veggies slices, lean lunch meat, etc. foods that are all natural not man made.

yeah i'll go with her on that answer drink water. or get up and take a walk. snack on heathly stuff like fruit or veggies. good luck i have the same problem......sitting at this desk drives me nuttsssssss

Chew gum, suck on suckers, drink hot tea, brush your teeth

yah drinking water realy works !!it did for me !!!i lost 35pound by drinking water when i feel hungrey !!!but u can have a lilttel snack once or twice in a week !!!!!

You could buy some of those protein bars and have them instead.

Try not to think about food...or you could always bite on your nails.
