The only difference between the two is cosmetic. They are made in the same plant on the same assebly line. So if you want one or the other just look for cosmetic, everything else is the same except one say gmc and the other chevy.

Nothing is different except the GMC usually has the highest end model of the two. I bought a 07 GMC new style becouse I like the way it looks more, but if Chevy was what they had I would of bought one. The only slight difference of any consiquence is if you buy a higher GMC like a crew cab it will be worth slightly more then the same chavy becouse there were less built. Not a reason to buy one but it is a difference.

Same truck with only minor differences.
99% of the components are identical and completely interchangable.
Also, most Cadillac SUV parts can interchange with Chevy and GMC. But the Cadillac is a lot more plush.

used to have a GMC Canyon good truck
Some Blazers okay trucks.

Not much of a difference they are both from General Motors. Chevrolet is a subsidiary of GM. For example, Honda Civic looks similar in style and similar parts and auto paint compared to Acura EL. One of the major difference is the HP on the Acura and the higher sticker price. Not to mention the logo themselves.

with very minor cosmetic changes there is nothing different
at all. i have a 1988 gmc v-2500 suburban 4x4 and the chevy version is identical with very little changes(badging).

the same difference between a ford ranger and mazda small pick-up: they roll off the same line but get a different badge in the paint shop
