if the two of your want to really be together for the rest of your lives, go for it! you could get married during his 14 day leave. but that 14-day leave is not guaranteed either. he belongs to the military, and he doesnt what they say he can do. also, my husband just left for Navy basic training on sept14th and is graduating in about 2 weeks (Nov 9th!). if you want someone to talk to, we are basically on the same path here lol.

Depends on what kind of wedding you want. If you want a simple courthouse wedding then 14 days is more than enough time in most places. If you want a slightly small ceremony you better get to planning. You could just do the courthouse thing and then plan a bigger wedding when he has enough leave time saved up.

I would suggest getting married right after graduation. (if you're wanting to do it that soon) If not, you're probably going to have to wait and see where he gets stationed. He can request leave, but I doubt he will receive it due to the fact that he's just getting started. I was married to a man in the ARMY. We got married just before Basic so we didn't have to worry about all the other stuff...If you'd like to wait and plan something nice I'd suggest holding off until he gets orders. Good Luck!

do not even TRY to get married until he reports to his permanent Duty station. Mine got pushed back THREE times due to operational commitments.
He may not get much time off after A school. Is his orders says he has to report immediately, then he will not be given the opportunity to take leave. Plus there is ALWAYS the possibility of him not graduating on time for a number of reasons( some of which may not even be his to control).

contrary to the other posts i would highly encourage you to get married as soon as you can if you are dead set on doing it (even if he only has a couple days at home) go to the courthouse and get married and have a big ceremony later. If he goes to A school and finds out his first orders are to an overseas base even if he comes home for those 2 weeks it wont be enough time to get everything settled for you to go with him. and it could take MONTHS to get you command sponsored and get his orders amended etc.

Please. Take time before marriage. You both need to be sure of this, and I'm sure you don't need me to remind you of the number of failed marriages of young people.
I've been married 3 times and have yet to find the love of my life. Don't confuse infatuation or need with love. If you truly love someone, then it's easy to wait for the right time, rather than just coinciding it with his leave time.
Spend the leave time getting to know eachother and being sure of your future.

If hes a jr. enlisted person he will also need his Commanders approval, not to marry, but to have you listed as a "eligable" dependent for benefits, but you can marry any time.

Why can't you wait until you actually have time? Why try to "squeeze it in" between everything? There is no rush!
