That's the end of the Mayan calendar.
Do you see many indigenous Mayans around?
People make predictions about the end of the world all the time, yet religion still has a hold over them. Nobody will stop believing in gods if a thousand end of the world ideas do not happen.
All end of the world guesses are bogus, unless you actually look at risks that could kill our species: nuclear war, asteroid impact, and environmental disaster- not some humanoid deity from the clouds.

Where did you come up with 2012 as the end of the
world? Did some human think that date up? If it's in
the Bible, please give chapter and verse. I think it says that no one will know the hour or the day. However, it could very
well be very soon. So, we all need to be ready for it. Not much could make me stop believing. Once you belong to the Savior, you don't want to lose Him.

I didn't know it was going to end in 2012,Matthew 25:13 says no one knows when the world will end. Read Matthew chapter 24 & 25 for a better understanding.

There is nothing in the bible which states that the world will end in 2012 - indeed, the Bible states that no man will know when the end will come, and that only God knows this.

What does that have to do with believing in God?
The world not ending will not convince me of anything, as I don't believe the world will be ending anytime soon.

I can't wait for this year to come and go. Then all of the fanatics surrounding the end in 2012 will be looking blankly at one another just as Christians have been for 2000 years.

Say What! 2012 or a million years after....what bearing
does that have which would change what God would do?
God is from everlasting to everlasing...eternity is His
Domain and our carnal little minds are too insignificant
to even ponder such a question!

No, God's been around a lot longer than any of us could ever imagine. What makes you think that 2012 will be the hour of our demise? Did Al Gore tell you that?

Nope...the world already has ended...we're just slow on the take being as we sit comfortably in the mintute fraction that hasn't yet begun to suffer from it. Our security is an illusion that is surely going to be shattered by the year 2011 or so..give it maybe perhaps another 5 years at the very most. Love in Christ, ~J~
