drummer or a dancer?
i find most pagans fit into one category or the other. i happen to do both, which is sometimes difficult becuase i want to drum, but then the music is so moving that i have to dance lol
for anyone who's not familiar with typical pagan drumming, check out my buddies from niagra falls

Ehm, allow me a correction - AMERICAN pagans fit in either one category or the other.
For some reason you guys seem to have adopted this practice. You'll find nothing like it in the old continent, apart from in some modernist wicca-wannabe circles that copy american examples.
Every tradition here has its own rituals, and SOME of them incude drumming or dancing or both, but just as a supporting part of it, never as the sole purpose.
I play lots of instruments, but not in any connection to anything religious :) As of the dancing, I only headbang.

Publicly, I'm a dancer (ask the DRD about Lupa, the wolf dancer some time ;)
But I also am a practicing (neo)shaman, and am planning on buying a new drum for spiritual journeying purposes.
So a little of both.

Hmmm
None of the above. LOL I dance, but at clubs. I've never danced at drum circles or anything. Actually, eeeep! I don't like drumming circles. I know, I'm an awful pagan aren't I? I can't freaking stand incense either. I have never and will never.

I'd have to say I'm a dancer. I really want a drum, but none of my friends have them, and what good is ONE drum? Most of my Circle are dancers, so it all works out. But I'd have to say a part of me is a drummer...just a smaller part, lol.

I've got two left feet, and am not musically inclined, so pretty much neither.
The one time I went to a drumming circle, I found myself stuck partway in the "zoning out" phase - really odd.

I guess I would be a drummer as I do play drums, I just need to get a band together.

If you're alluding to the soul-searching question "Are you a leader or a follower?" I'd say both and neither. MUST we continually classify ourselves??????? Geez! What's with all the damn labels?!?!?! ;) If you meant the question exactly as stated at face value, I'd sheepishly respond that I'm too analytical sometimes :-P lol and somebody pass me a damn beer already!
