Im traveling from Basingstoke to Sunderland tomorrow morning, are there any roadworks that anyone is aware of on the A34/M40/A43 or M1 going north?

Well the first 2 posts have been alot of help!....thanks, I will go and speak to the wall next to me as they will be as much help.!...
So annoying that people just write cr@p in answer to a question, if you dont know dont answer the question!.

M1 Junctions 6-9 restricted width due to road widening casues problems at the best of times - you'd be quicker going via M40 to M1 north

There are road works south of Sheffield .
Why not used the A1 all the way to Sunderland .

If I was ever going to Sunderland, I would hope there was roadworks all the way from Watford, 'cos then I would have an excuse not to arrive!

you had better be quick there are road works due to start around junction 26 lasting until 2010
