Nope..what you are doing is awesome!
Most people think prayer is just saying reciting memorized prayers, and nothing is wrong with that...but there is so much more to prayer and I think you got it right on the dot. Prayer builds your friendship and your relationship with God, and eventually, it becomes a part of you, your day, and all that you do. God loves when we include Him in all that we do and when we love Him enough to do so. It's something for all to strive for in their prayer life--the merging of their "life" and their "prayer life," as it seems you have done. Prayer should be constant. It doesn't even always have to have words. Sometimes its just listening to God. Constant prayer is staying connected to God throughout your day...not just in reciting prayers, but in conversation with Him, keeping Him in your thoughts, thinking of Him before you act/talk, asking Him for help, thanking Him, listening to Him in the stillness of your heart, adoring Him and His marvelous creations, seeing Him in the beauty of nature, etc. Constant prayer is the constant awareness and acceptance of God's presence. I think its a beautiful thing...don't ever let anybody take it away from you.
God Bless You!
P.S. As a prayer request, could you please keep in your prayers all those who are trying to also build their relationship with God? Thank you :)

You seem to have the correct type of prayer life.
There is a saying "Heavenly minded, no earthly good", which basically means that a person is so preoccupied with thinking of Heaven that they can not do physical things very well.
But we are to live in this world, and we need to be able to talk and deal with people and things no matter if it is at home, or work or where every else, but in all these things we need to remember God and to be quick to give a prayer or an answer from scripture.
I pray that God will continue to keep you close to His side and bless you as you walk with Him.

Can you talk to a brick wall too much?
I'm pretty sure you're not bothering god, since it doesnt exist. You seem like you need the assurance and you're not hurting anyone, although I think you might perhaps be lacking social skills which your constant praying is only furthering... but that's a choice of yours.

It sounds like you are having a close, beneficial relationship with God. You sound like you are friends. You can easily converse with Him as one would with any friend.
Do you think your prayers are pressured? What I mean is do you feel as though you MUST pray all of the time? Excessive prayer may be a symptom of religiosity. Religiosity is basically being overzealous to the point of religion being a sort of mental illness.
Some people with religiosity believe that this type of praying will "save" them. They also believe the opposite. If they don't pray excessively they will incur the wrath of God possibly even to the point of being Hell bound.
Does this type of thinking sound familiar to you? If it does get some medical help. If it doesn't don't be afraid of your close relationship with God. It will uplift you giving you joy.
Yours in Christ Jesus

Studies have shown - yes, because your brain is producing serotonin and by prayer if this level of serotonin get too high, it becomes the "serotonin syndrom", and that you don't want.
Take it as a natural limit which God has set. Which makes sense.
Unfortunately I can't say anymore than this, because people are report-happy in here, and this is the last question I answer here in R&S today.

No it isn't possible to pray too much. The Bible says pray without ceasing. You are fulfilling the first great commandment, to love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind and all your strength.

No, you can't pray too much. I think it's great that you love prayer and that you love God so much. That is a good thing, not a bad thing.

First of all I want to say "Good for you" and i mean that...I'm not being sarcastic. I am trying to grow in my prayer life. I am getting better but I still have a ways to go. You are talking with the One who created us. Dont ever worry about doing this too much...this is what we are supposed to do. He said to bring your heavy burdens to Him...He want us to see Him as a loving Fatherly figure. You just keep doing what you feel in your heart is best for you....If it was wrong God would give you guidance in that...
Keep the Faith and God Bless!!!

No, the Bible says to pray without ceasing, so I'd think that would make it impossible to pray too much.
