Hungary, Romania, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Yugoslavia (briefly, early in war), Croatia, Thailand.
Two others were called 'co-belligerents' - at war with an enemy of the Axis, but not formally allied with them.
Iraq - brief war with the UK, very early
Finland - Already fighting the Soviet Union
The 'whys' are complex.
Hungary - regain area lost in WW I.
Romania - Bullied into it by Germany. Switched to Allies in 1944
Slovakia - Allied to Germany - owed existence as a separate country to Germany.
Bulgaria - Wanted to reclaim WW I losses. Also bullied by Germany.
Yugoslavia - Prince Paul adhered to Axis - but was overthrown in same week. Germany then invaded Yugoslavia.
Croatia - Declared independence after invasion of Yugoslavia - closely associated with Italy. Italian prince made king of Croatia.
Thailand - Invaded by Japan, formed military alliance with Japan.
ADDED: Austria did not remain as a separate country. The Anschluss of 1938 incorporated Austria into Germany.

The axis powers were Germany, Italy, Japan, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria.
Hungary, ruled by Admiral Miklós Horthy as Regent, was the first power to adhere to the Tripartite Pact of Germany, Italy, and Japan signing the agreement on November 20, 1940. Hungary's foreign policy under Horthy was driven by the ambition to recover the territories lost through the imposition on her of the Trianon Treaty. Hungary drew closer to Germany and Italy largely because of the shared desire to revise the peace settlements made after the First World War
Romania, under King Michael and the military government of Ion Antonescu, adhered to the Tripartite Pact on November 23, 1940.
Bulgaria, under its king Boris III, signed the Tripartite Pact on March 1, 1941. Bulgaria had been an ally of Germany in the First World War, and like Germany and Hungary, sought a revision of the peace terms, specifically the restoration of the San Stefano Treaty.

Romania - a fascist movement called 'the iron hand' had seized power in Romania and pledged loyalty to the nazis.
Hungary - the anti-nazi members of the Hungarian government were taken prisoner in a commando raid by Otto Skorzeny and replaced with pro-nazis who sided with Germany
Bulgaria - not sure why but they were sided with Germany
Croatia - led by a very nasty fascist man called Ante Pavelic, a state militia called the 'Ustasa' (meaning 'insurrection') assisted the nazis and set up concentration camps for Serbs and other ethnic groups they didnt like and also raped, tortured and murdered lots of Serbs and communists
Bosnia - technically werent sided with Germany, but a whole lot of Bosnians joined the SS and carried out atrocities against the Serbs and communists
Finland - was very worried about the threat of invasion from the USSR (and shown to be justifiably worried when the Soviets marched over the border) Finland probably only sided with the Nazis to deter a Soviet invasion
