One of the women..Leslie refused to bow to one of the statutes or join in the ceramonies at the temple in China. Christians.. what would you have done?

The same. I will not bow down to any one or thing other than Jesus Christ. Most will probably say it was disrespectful of her, but isn't it disrespectful to ask someone to do this if it is against their religion? I would never ask a Buddhist or Muslim or Hindu or Wiccan or Atheist or anyone else to bow down before the cross or to bow at an altar call.
EDIT: Can you imagine the press if she HAD bowed down and everyone in the world watching knew she was a Christian? Then we would be hearing about she wasn't true to her beliefs and must be one of those that pick and choose which parts of the Bible she believes in. She would lose in the eyes of the world either way!

I woukld have stood my ground and NOT worshipped that statue even though they said it wasn't worship
Bowing down to a staute of Buddha is ayt leasat giving the appearance of worship.
They could send me home if need be, but I would have done the same thing.

I would not have done it. She did a good thing. It's true that those idols aren't anything but stone and wood, but what they represent is anathema to Christians.

It is not as though bowing to a statue can be equated to worshipping, any more than attending a Christian church can be equated to worshipping. What mattered was in her heart, and if she was truly worshipping the statue - just as it would matter that she truly accepted Christ. She overreacted to the situation and made a scene when this was wholly unecessary.

might have joined in the ceremony if it was cultural rather than religious.

I would have bent her over the statue and tapped it! God and religiion are stupid!! premarital, meaningless sex rules...expecially on stack of bibles!!!
