I hope it's a trick to round them up and deport them. What do people not get about ILLEGAL?? If people come here and do it right, become citizens, I have no problem with it. But they can just climb over a fence or even worse, come here and give birth and get to stay and we have to give these people the right to be here?? Are you KIDDING me?? People who don't speak out language or know our laws? This is all just asking for trouble. They need to get the hell out of here and stop being a drain on our society!

I think he is a very smart man and the other states should adopt this policy. People are saying that that's going to compromise security, etc. Why would it compromise security the illegals are already there- there just diving without a license and without insurance.

I think he should be booted out of office for even considering such stupidity. this is ridiculous - why don't we concentrate on giving our own things like our seniors that cannot afford health and prescription coverage and send back the illegals... I'm not going to keep on this subject my blood pressure is rising

DumKopf! The NY State Legislature roundly defeated his grand ideas...Good for them...So far they cited, ID Theft, fraud among the reasons for Not permiting it. All of them that do should be IMPEACHED and tried for treason!

I think that it is a slap in the face of law enforcement to give a legal document to someone in this country illegally. It legitimizes them and will make it even harder to tell who is illegal and who isn't.
