To answer your last question first I am soon to be 67 years old. My musical likes are quite varied. I love the music of 'Four in the Fire' (religious), church hymns, bluegrass, country, r&b, some rock, some classical, and so that just about cover some of all I guess.
I like Elvis. Rod Stewart, The Commodores, Johnny Cash, Beathoveen, and some of the big bands. I hope this has not bored you!!!

I'm 32 and like a wide range of music, from oldies to country to new age to musicals. I pretty much find most of the music I like is from my parents generation, generally stuff from the 50s, 60s, and 70s, a bit from the early 80s, and don't care much for the heavy rock and rap from 90s.

Noise, No Wave, Math rock, or Speedcore. I like anything that sounds a little off tune, though. As a rule, instrumental is almost always better than the other stuff IMHO.
I am 16 years old.
EDIT: Who the **** is giving everyone a thumbs down over thier taste in MUSIC? This is honestly one of the most immature things I've seen on YA.

I like to have music to fit my mood. If I'm energetic, I like rock and roll, if I am winding down at the end of the day, I like SPA on Serius Radio, when i'm going back to my home town, I like country and western. When it's late at night and I am traveling, I like classical. when I get sentimental watching movies from the fourties, I like the Big Band sound. When I'm feeling sexy, I like Andrea Bocelli, when I'm with my grown children, I listen to Justin timberlake. When I'm with my nine-year-old step-daughter, I listen to Hanna Montana. I NEVER listen to rap, unless it's Usher. So you see, my mood and who i'm with determines what I listen to. I guess I use music like a therapy. Oh, yes, I am 54.

I prefer heavier music -- anything with a nice guitar crunch to it -- but I'm also a sucker for blues-based rock (Stones, early Aerosmith, Black Crowes, Allman Brothers).
I'm 37.
EDIT : Hey, thanks for the thumbs down. Does that mean I DON'T like this kind of music, or that I'm not 37?
