I lost my virginity to my boyfriend about a week ago. Ever since I haven't shown it when I am around him, but without him I feel like he;s going to break up with me and I am terrified, even though we had the most awesome weekend of my life, and he came over last night and hes so great, he wrote me a love letter saying how much i have changed his life and changed him in so many ways for the best. But I even talked to my mother about it, and she said after you lose it the number one fear is him leaving you. Now there is no chance of that in present time, but I am so scared and I want the feeling to go away. Please help!!!!

he is the one you should talk to. he gave you a love letter last night, I think it is pretty clear he is someone who had sex with you becoz he wanna be with you, not someone who just takes advantage of you.
don't listen to those who suggests he is using you. not all guys are like that. I am my gf's first bf. we have been together for over 5 years. I cherish everything she gave me. you just need to be with him more. make him know that last week meant a lot to you.
*** with your addition details, I think he is serious, and he loves you very much. a guy in his late twenties writes you a love letter, it means a great deal. if he only cares about that one time, he wouldn't bother to do things to make you feel secured. I was in my late twenties, my gf is a few years younger. the situation is very similar. he's turning 30, so he is thinking of having a family. you just need to open to him about your feeling. good luck, I hope everything works out great.

You gave the most sacred part of yourself, that which you can never get back, to a man you deemed worthy. In that sense, you've done the right thing. Sex is a very emotional experience, especially your first time, even though not everyone thinks that's true.

Even if you were still a virgin (or you'd had sex before with someone else), it would hurt if he broke up with you because you love him, you're having such a great time together, and he's wonderful. Not all relationships last, regardless of how good they are. Try to live in the moment; if he makes you happy, tell him he makes you happy. Continue to strengthen your relationship. If this feeling continues to consume you, you need to talk to your boyfriend about it. Tell him you know it's irrational because everything is going well, but that for a while you'll need some additional consoling. Don't second guess your decision to have sex with him; you don't need guilt added to the fear. Just be happy that you picked such a great guy, and that everything is going well!

Well , it will not go away soon , but time will heal it slowly by slowly eventhough it is hard to forget the first time . I can even say that fear will go with you to the rest of your life and become one of your obession . Sorry if you think that I am threathening you now , but it was just exact what happened to me . Your mother is right . The biggest fear left after the first time is losing him coz your life is still ahead and you both are two young . Then nothing can foretell . Just be optimistic as well as you are . Get a close relation with your mother , your family . Talk with mum as often as possible and share with her every happiness also sadness in your life . Be a good gf , behave politely and cleverly to remain your relation . Just do your best ok . But always remember nothing can foretell . So just try your best .

You need to talk to him. it's the only way out...
If he sent you a letter then obviously he's into you, and its not just for the sex. Guys dont like being beaten around the bush, just tell him how you feel and that you need his full support on the issue.

Quite honestly, don't be stupid. Unless he is sending out signals that he is going to leave you, don't worry about it. Try not to talk to him about it, because he will think you're paranoid and that will make him leave you.

Just trust him.

Unfortunately this is what typically happens, especially if you're around 15,16,17 or 18. It's just the way boys are at that age. One head knows exactly what it wants and the other doesn't have the slightest clue.
