She doesn't even have to be convicted on the new charges to have her parole violated. The standard for a violation of parole in most states is more like the civil standard of more probable than not instead of the criminal standard "proof beyond a reasonable doubt." Possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and drug trafficking are very serious offenses. I would expect her to do serious time, and she will not be released on bail pending trial because of the parole violation.

Sounds like sister didn't learn to act like a productive citizen while she was paroled. I believe she will be back in prison for an extended stay this time. Some people are too stupid to learn.

If I understand correctly she was on parole and was caught trafficking drugs across statee line. She will most likely be hit hard and will almost definitely go back to prison. If she doesn't I would be shocked. Sorry.

The bottom line is this........

If she was arrested for a new FELONY charge while on parole for a FELONY charge........ she could, and very well may, be sent to prison for the duration of her sentence. So, say she has 5 years left on her sentence of parole, she could very well go to prison for that amount of time.

She must be an idiot for doing this.

It sounds like she dug her own grave. And the system should be hard on her.
