I say go with the flow. If your differences get in the way of your relationship you'll know it and the thing won't last. Otherwise don't rock the boat

I think when there are differences in some areas, both of you balance each other out. Like since your boyfriend is more organized and you're spontaneous, he can help you be organized at times and you can help him loosen up and have more fun. If you were both horribly organized and did things always on routine, the relationship would be boring and if you both were horribly spontaneous then nothing would get done. Embrace the differences and exercise patience with them because being opposites can actually make the relationship work better.

One thing to realize - when people search for friends, they seek out people like them. When people go for relationships, it's usually with someone "opposite" of them, because you are subconciously looking for someone to balance you out. In a good relationship, the two of you become a whole.
Keep close friends to express your spontaneous side. But always keep open and honest communication with him if you're not happy, and be open if he's telling you he's not happy about something. That's why relationships are about compromise - if you were exactly the same, you wouldn't have to compromise on anything!
As long as you're happy, hang in there and always talk! Communication and honesty. Geez, I sound like a marriage counselor! lol :-)

well I dated someone who was definitely different then me in everyway but we lasted for a chunk of time because of trust and understanding and we fit together but our differences, goals and views on life got in the way but he is still my best friend, so he's and a lot more organized and your spontaneous maybe you too will rub off on to each other. because thats not that big of a difference.

There has to be some give and take in any relationship. If you are the one always changing things for him now, plan on spending many unhappy years together.

I think the opposites attract idea is an old wives tale.
For most people a true opposite would be really annoying.

My boyfriend is the opposite of me - he's a guy and I'm a girl!
I don't think 'opposite' or 'alike' come into it where love is concerned. If you love someone, you love someone, period.

I wonder. From experience i can't say they always do, but then there's always the exception to the rules. I really hope so....
