consider the permanency of a tattoo,perhaps preview temporary tattoos you can always make them permanent ,the obverse is a little harder.

Their horoscope symbols, chinese zodiac or anything symbolizing each child (you can do the chinese symbols if you want it less detailed). On your arm I'm not sure what kind of layout you'd like, but I know a girl who had it on her neck going down starting with the oldest child their chinese zodiac symbol, then the next and so on. You can add color to make it girly, or to throw an idea out there get a your birth month flower in the back ground with their 3 symbols on top.

What about their birth month flowers?? You can google it and see which flowers are theirs, and then decide if you like the idea. I knew a girl that had her grandparents' birth month flowers tattooed on her shoulder blade and it looked really good.
