The Kurds are notorious terrorist. They used to operate in Iraq, Iran and Turkey before the second Gulf war.

The current problem goes back to Kurds wanting an independent nation of Kurdistan. This nation would be part of South east Turkey, West Iran and North Iraq. Since the early 00's there demand in Turkey has dropped to an atomized state.

Turkey have refused to negotiate with terrorists and as such have set up boarder guards. The Kurds keep invading Turkey and attacking towns around the boarder, killing both civilians and soldiers. The Turkish troops respond to slowly to catch them on Turkish territory and so shell positions in Iraq that the terrorists are hiding.

Far from being the "freedom fighters" that the Coalition are trying to portray - the kurdish "army" is no better than the Taliban in Afghanistan. They have taken refuge in Northern Iraq for many years and carried out irregular attacks in Turkish Cities during that time always escaping back over the border.

The Turkish Government, at the behest of the coalition, have kept their cool for the past 4 years as it basically kept the north of Iraq quiet allowing concentration on the problems in the rest of Iraq.

The Kurds are working on the principle that the turkish Government will continue to toe the Coalition line. The above is one of the main reasons why Saddam came down hard on the Kurds as they were also active in Iraq until agreement was reached with the Coalition regarding autonomy.

Because blowing the terrorists of the P.K.K. kisses does not work.

While there might be justification in the Kurds having a homeland, setting of bombs in Turkey and killing innocent Turkish civilians and tourists is not the way to go about getting it.

History has shown that at the end of the day people have to sit down and talk to sort out their differences.

All I know is that I'm sick of the Turks thinking that they're European. They are NOT European and have NO RIGHT to EVER join the EU.
