Actually I am from India and would like to work in UK. Even if it's on Contract basis it wil be fine. But does this really works.
All the time I apply a common Question arrives. " Do You have the Right to Live and Work In UK?......
My answer to this is always No.
Are there any poeple in UK who work on Contract basis.

what exactly do you want to know? if you're from the EU, it'll be easier... if you're from outside, you'll find it more difficult...

You really should be more specific about what details you want to know regarding work permits, however you should be aware that you cannot apply directly for a work permit. The employer in the UK who wants to employ you must do this. They should contact Work Permits (UK).

The employer should send the filled-in application form at least eight weeks before the date they need you to start work.
