Do you unexpectedly reap reward from it? I always put myself in a lower position than others (we are talking at the Cat's bowl here!!!) only to be stepped on or ignored !!!! I'm not seeking reward but not being kicked in the teeth once in a while would be good!!!

God sees all that you do, he wont let you down. Dont expect people to notice, if you put your hope in them, you will always be disappointed! Put your hope in Jesus, cant lose then.

Yours is a very interesting post indeed. You identify yourself as a nonbeliever and yet you have prayed and are disappointed that God has not answered your prayers, etc. Faith in God is not something that is turned on and off based on your experience with God. A believer believes through good times and bad times. We do not have a perfect life because we believe in God. What kind of an experience do you hope to have from God? If waking up every morning is something you are thankful for then you are a person of faith. Someone once said (I don't remember who) that if one simply says "Thank you" to God, that is the only prayer you need to say. The existence of God cannot be proved or disproved. That is why we have faith. And btw, God is for all. It's not just the Christian God. God is the same for all.

We keep tables level where I come from..... and I always sit closest to the door for easy escape.

And Cat Bowl level should always be higher than table level, for disrespecting our Feline Overlords is a very VERY bad idea.

Cat bowl level? Perhaps you should raise your position a little. You might get a better response from others.

the most important place is always the lowest as that place needs others to make it important while the lowest needs nothing

Why would you put your self last. Step up and be noticed. If your saved take your place and his child. Humble yes, but also Jesus never meant for us to take a back seat either.

Humility is Biblical.....

Keep up the good testimony!

Christ told us in His Word that we should not "seek the best chair at the feast"

It isn't an easy thing to do. I know I feel my ego bristle sometimes.
