We get fires often in this area due to dry vegetation, hot and dry wind conditions (called the Santa Ana's) and homes being built in natural hazard areas.

Many events Do point to the soon return of Christ, but these are not part it.

It's only nature, the area is very dry.
Why would God smote California when Hollywood raised the morale and spirits of all the allies in the whole world during WWII.

We are all victims of nature. It's not a sign of end times. Well, maybe for some homes in California, but not for mankind.

Or a sign of the Santa Ana Winds exacerbating the problem. But what does it matter, most "End-Timers" are just going to say "It's comming soon!" when the world fails yet again to end.

Pat Robinson is that whaco lunatic fringe type comedian who would agree with you. I hate to tell you, but the fires have nothing to do with mythological biblical fantasy and science fiction writing. The fires going out of control have everything to do with winds, weather, climate change, global warming and California's past fire history and absolutely NOTHING to do with god, prophesy, the end times, the good times or the good ol'days.

I think of them more as God's punishment for Governor Schwarzenneger's veto of the gay marriage bill recently passed by the California State Assembly and Senate. God clearly does not approve of homophobia which is also why He's causing record breaking drought in the Southeast.

Uhh...no.

Fires happen all the time.

Especially in a (normally) well-irrigated desert like most of Southern California is.

That area has fires about every year, and big ones about every ten. It is business as usual.
