itch: What is your interpretation of 1 Peter 3:15?

makemeasure: You said, "I believe that the image of God is encoded throughout all of creation, see examples of the Fibonacci numbers and the golden section."
This to me is an excellent point and I often use PHI as being often used throughout nature as reasonable evidence for creation. Fair enough and well done.

makemeasure: You also said, "evidence of this conscience encoding is the similarities of the moral codes of ancient societies, the similarities of religions and the great desire of mankind for religion.
This is another good point. The only thing I would change would be the last part. I would have said, "...and a great desire of mankind to seek to understand a higher being/creator."
Very well done. I agree with all of your points.

Tariq, you problem lies in the assumption that everyone has reasonable belief in the Bible as being a reasonable source. Therefore we must back up and ask, "what reasons do you support, that allow your reasonable believe in the Bible? Please explain.

Eds, that is wonderful and I am truly happy that you are alright now. God Bless you. However to be fair, I must stick to the format. Eds, you say the reason you believe in God is because you survived a near death experience, my question is: what reason do we have to believe that God healed it, compared to it being mere coincidence? Also, what reason do you have to support your reasonable belief in the Bible as being true?

itch: You said, "I know nothing I write will impact anyone in the way it is intended. At least not in R&S. I need no reason, and I have more than reasonable belief."
Here, you've stated one fact that you would simply be unable to prove. You said you >know< that no one will be impacted by what you say, at least not in RS. When we claim something we know, we must prove it. Whereas a belief only requires evidence. So I'm guessing this is only your belief based on experience. My point is you never know. If there is a hope, or a chance, why not share the hope and reason that is in you? Please explain.
Also, you state that you need no reason.
Then you say you have reasonable belief. In order for a belief to be reasonable, it must be backed up with reasons why it is reasonable. Therefore you would need reason. Also explain this.

i_want_u: You believe that nature is evidence of God, but only if you look at nature with an open mind that possibly someone created it, will you see it as evidence of God. This is what I've interpreted from what you've said.
If this is the right interpretation, I would have to completely agree with you. To me, it is reasonable enough evidence.
"Cause faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God."
This claim is backed up by no support, even though I believe it is true. You've given reason for a creator, nature. But you have yet to support your reasonable belief in your claim that nature was created by the Bible's God. You'd have to support or give reason to why you have reasonable belief in the Bible as being true. Please explain. Thanks, God Bless.

iwant_u: That is another great evidence for a creator that I often use, (if not the most often one I use) very good. I actually have one question, at the end of your first edit you said something along the lines of "hearing the word of God." Are you referring to the Bible as the word of God? If so, you must explain why you believe the Bible is a credible source. If not, than you've done an excellent job. Well done and God Bless. Thanks for referring back to the question.

Linda B: Thank you for sharing your experiences. I don't take out the possibility that all you said was true. I've never heard anything like that, but I can't credit the impossibility, since I cannot prove you're wrong. If you are lying, (which I'm not saying you are) But hypothetically if you were, than it wouldn't be helping God's cause, as it seems unreasonable to non-believers. However if it really did happen, that's amazing and I'm extremely happy for you. God Bless and thanks again for sharing.

I believe that the image of God is encoded throughout all of creation, see examples of the Fibonacci numbers and the golden section. Also, the image of God is on our consciences and we know instinctively right from wrong and that there is a creator because we are always seeking solutions outside ourselves.
evidence of this conscience encoding is the similarities of the moral codes of ancient societies, the similarities of religions and the great desire of mankind for religion.

You gotta purely love those responses. Having study by them, i think of purely one guy or woman incredibly made an attempt to record something which (in his opinion) became right into a favorable reason to have faith that God would not exist. i won't be able to help yet chortle at countless the extraordinarily vulnerable and incorrect arguments. My well known is the "no evidence" argument. enable me see if I even have this precise: because of the fact there is not any evidence of the life of God, then there should not be a God. If there became right into a God, there could be evidence. What a comedian tale! in line with that argument, then earlier than 1564 there have been no spots on the solar, no moons orbiting Jupiter, no rings around Saturn and no craters on the moon, earlier than 1889 the universe became into no longer increasing and the record is going on and on. If absolute evidence of God's life have been to be shown the next day, does that mean that God did no longer exist till now that the next day? Do those human beings contend that something would not exist because of the fact it relatively is not any longer considered? and that they say we are closed minded. The funniest element of those arguments is the consistent bowing on the altar of high quality judgment. Has all people ever observed that a logical argument starts off with a premise, something it is taken to be authentic without evidence? it is to declare each logical argument starts off with something it is regular on faith and makes use of logical equipment (axioms, postulates, and so on) that are additionally purely regular as authentic without being shown. it is relatively the anomaly of evidence.

Well I wasn't looking for God. He came to me and brought me out of the miry clay and set my feet upon a solid rock. It wasn't till after I was saved that I saw for the first time his creation and his hand in it all. From the stars, to the trees. and the people and all the animals. God speaks to us in that still small voice and he uses his word as well. I have no hard evidence that I could show someone. Cause faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Debater,
I had a Near-Death Experience while I was in High School. I allowed my diabetes to nearly kill me and that placed me in a hospital for about a week. I was comatose for quite some time and remember coming out of it in the hospital. It was rather scary! I have read and studied a number of religious writings in the past and have come to a decision that I believe our FATHER sent HIS SON, Jesus Christ who died for our sins at Calvary. I am a Christian who attends a Non-Denominational Church who follows only the BIBLE and has no other doctrine but GOD'S. Have a wonderful week.
Thanks,
Eds

Just the process of becoming a fetus in my mother's womb. It amazing. If there was no God, I cannot see how a small little sperm could possibly become a baby, stay in your mother's womb for 9 months without suffocating, then born and grow up. I mean that's enough for me to believe in God.

I've had angels play with me and talk to me as a very young child. I've had angels I could feel, all around me since. They helped me heal. As a child, I was abused, molested, and had no one to turn to. I think I would have died if not for the very young appearing angels who came to me every time I was locked in a room alone. They would let me ride them horsey back while they flew. I loved them so very much. The love they gave to me was ever so much more than I could give to them. I thought they were children just like me, except with wings.
Also, I ran away from home at the age of 15. A man who seemed nice said I could stay with him and his girlfriend. I went, he raped me so badly the doctor said I would never have kids. He would choke me until I passed out and then let me come to repeatedly. I kept hearing God tell me to stay calm, stay calm, you need to be able to think. After my rapist was done, he asked me how I wanted to die. At that exact moment it felt like a hand reached into the top of my head and gently sat me on the side-lines. I watched them talk for a long time. Next thing I knew I was back in my body. I didn't really know what had passed between him and whoever took control of my body, but when I got back were on our knees, praying, and he was crying. He took me to his friends house with instructions to keep me for two weeks. I’ve been able to hear God all my life. I feel bad that others are not able to. For me, losing that would make it impossible for me to continue to survive. Because I hear God's voice, how can I not know H/she is real? I was caring for my Aunt as she lay dying. I laid my forehead on her and suddenly I was pulled out of the top of my head and taken down the now infamous tunnel. I was told to stop at one point, as I would not be able to go back if I continued. I saw my aunt, much younger, dressed in an older fashioned dress and happy as all get out. One thing she made clear was that she was in no way in any pain. That it wasn't necessary for me to tell her again to let go, she already had done that and was at the edge of heaven so I could talk and see her. Her most important concern was that I was so concerned for her, and that it wasn't necessary. As it was so beautiful, I wanted to go further in. Instantly I was back in my body. I don't see how I could refuse to believe in something that keeps proving itself in my life. I can't convince anyone of this, but I know what's happened. I have more, but I've said plenty.
Blessed Be

Jesus is lamb of God, no he is son of God, no he is only son of God who received message of God by holy spirit who is God, he presented his sacrifice before God to save us from original sin of Adam becuse of which we became sinful and cursed. He saved us from anger of God and hell, he is god, he is one three of god, no he is god in reality. We know Jesus is God, god is one in three and three in one, so it is proved as per bible God is One. So we declare, "The Lord our God, the Lord is One"
