YEah!! And so is the moon, they're both in this together, they are. They conspire against us everyday, the sun is sick of the ugly naked bodies it has to watch and tan everyday, and and and the moon hates the way we frolick so shamelessy in front of it (naked too), so the moon helps the sun by pulling us closer to it. That way they plan to murder us all. The foxes/wolves too are in on this, they hate us after all the hunting and want their revenge. They pass hidden messages to the moon and we just think, "oh there's a dumb fox/wolf howling at the moon" ... oh no... think again...
That's why the moon and the sun are always out there, keeping a watchful eye on us, and when the moon needs a break, the sun takes over and vice versa...
Such intense plotting and scheming..... who would have thought????

As you already have the comments for writing children's stories, lets go towards some serious thinking now.
What you say is quite true. The calculations are a bit wrong as:
1. The sun does not have a steady outer surface (remember it does have gases)
2. The sun too is moving, albeit very slowly compared to the Earth.
Now about us being slowly sucked into the sun. Let me try to explain it with an example:
Have you tried rotating a stone tied to a string over your head? (Try it, its fun till the knot opens and you hit someone with the stone. :))
Consider that the knot cannot open. The stone does not fall off the string till it has a certain velocity. The velocity comes from your hand but it goes revolving for sometime before it falls.
The same thing will happen to the Earth.... one day... not in the near future. Probably by then Human beings will be extinct. So, enjoy your life and try to use less fossil fuels.

No, we are not sucked towards the sun, but according to big bang theory, we are doing the opposite, that is we are moving away from the sun as the universe is expanding.

It seems that way, Bush the redneck thinks otherwise if for no other reason than to flaunt Al Gore's achivements even after he cheated him out of the presidency.

Truly the dumbest thing I've heard since the statement that global warming must be true because the CEO of Wal-Mart believes it's true.
