Are you mad.
Wildfires have been part of the ecology of California for hundreds of thousands of years. They are natural and necessary for the survival of many native species that are adapted to only reproduce after them.
Sin has nothing to do with it at all. And the so called righteous in America cause astonishing harm.
Oh, and California is by far the richest state in the US, so God seems to be rewarding them pretty well for something they are doing right.

Actually, not building a home in a brush desert is the lesson here. Or perhaps, expect the fires on a regular basis. Every year, the Santa Ana winds breathe hints of such destruction, but occasionally the promise is fulfilled. Perhaps moving to a wetter climate is the answer? But then there is danger of flood and tornado...I think the lesson here is that nature is harsh and material wealth is uniquely vulnerable. If California holds the most wealth, then it has the most to lose. No sin implied, just the law of the jungle.

I disagree. There's a lot of love in Southern California, and legal immigrants too.
Maybe those are some of the reasons the property values are so high, because so many want to live there.
If someone started the fire, which has almost always been the case, that's the sin.
The lack of deaths so far make you wonder if there is much less sin, or many more people are praying.

I don't feel that "sin" is the originator of the horrificly sad California fires, especially those of us who live in orange county as dust covers everyones home, you can smell it, the sky is dark, looking like the end of the world. I do feel however that it is a sign from the Heavens that man creates for himself what man will destroy for himself. Fire is the only natural disaster that a man can spark up himself because in the tsunamis in Thailand and Indonesia, a man didn't go into the ocean and stomp real hard to get the waters rising. Man does much to disrespect, disregard, uncare, unlove, ungratefully take, feel superior, have much fear which inevitably leads to hate amongst other things. I feel that mankind is at a very unique stage within this time of existence. There is a lot of fear, anger, and sadness and energy becomes everything. The fires to me is a way for us to appreciate what we have, what little of it or a lot, to always give when it's not convenient cuz it's easy to give when you got a lot, to have love for everybody as a spiritual being, accept that you will not like what everybody does, says and stands for but you will respect it by detaching it from your being. The fires is one of many of signs that the Universe/God/Allah/Buddha/Jesus/David Hasselhoff has given to us to be with peace, to detach, to let go, to love, to have compassion, to understand without understandING, to believe in a greater power, and to trust in the powers that lay within ourlselves to make the world, our world big or small, better, changed, touched, loved. I feel that the fires along with many other castastrophic disasters that destroys one to millions of lives is a part of the nature of man, God/Jesus/Benny Hinn, and not only his will but our actions, not beliefs, but actions, intentions, energies, truths. There were no toys of the rich in Thailand and Indonesia as there are in Southern California which means that life is happening all around us and all we have are what we leave this life with...I always say, "...my coffin ain't that big..." and some get it, some don't! I've connected many dots and do my best to live in a manner where I'm constantly trying to stay connected to my spiritual being and my purposes. I understand too well the rippling affect of hate, greed, fear, anger and ego. People don't always understand a greater picture if they're standing too close to the painting but everynow and again, there are a few of us who really step back and make connection to see the whole picture, frame and all.

That's ridiculous. Sin being the sole purpose of a natural disaster doesn't make sense. I think that we are on the brink of the end, and sin plays a part in that, but to say that there is anymore sin on this earth than 100 years ago isn't biblical. According to the bible there is no sin worse than any others. Being rich isn't a sin. Having toys isn't a sin. Having a nice big house isn't a sin. However it is easier for a camel to fit through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God. I am sure there are God fearing people who have lost their homes. I surely hope you're praying for those people down in California instead of only judging them.

Yes but I don’t think sin is the sole reason. Sin is everywhere. We are in the END days. Kids are even more disrespectful to their parents these days, kids are having kids, STDs are spreading at alarming rates, kids fighting in Iraq just to boost president’s ego, hate crimes are transpiring more, natural disasters are seen more often, and homosexuality is being injected into everything as if it were the most important issue. No wonder God is not pleased. And they call Vegas “Sin City.”
Jeremiah 32:18--You show love to thousands but bring the punishment for the fathers' sins into the laps of their children after them. O great and powerful God, whose name is the LORD Almighty,

If God were in the habit of "stepping in" to take evil people down, each of the 9/11 terrorists would have had heart attacks or been hit by a bus before they stepped on those planes.

No wonder people think Christians are over the top with questions like this.
Most likely it was the sole origin of a spark
Instead of judging people why not feel compassion for them.

might have been as simple as a campfire.
God punishes sin on an individual bases not in plagues anymore.
AIDS is rampant because of bad behavior not from God spreading it. God gave no one AIDS.
The end times will see more natural disasters like earthquakes and that is just God saying the time is near.

Why is it that when something bad happens, "God is punishing someone"? Did you ever think maybe God just sits back and watches people face the consequences of bad decisions? It's either "God abandoned those people" or "God helped them win the Superbowl". I really feel God is not hedging bets in Vegas for the amusement of anyone.
