I would imagine its far higher than that, but Islam like Catholicism never lets go of its converts in the statistical sense (it is impossible to be removed from the register the Vatican keeps, even if you turn to devil worship).
I think the reason is that Islam is wrapped up in the societies it forms part of and those societies - like Middle Ages Europe - are repressive. This makes it virtually impossible for people to apostasise or even express their true feelings.
These pressures are relieved somewhat for Muslims in Western cultures, though pressures to remain in the faith are still high. Honour killings are increasingly common in the UK for instance.

I wouldn't know because I'm not Muslim, but I might assume it is because the adherences of the Muslim faith might be too conservative, too rigid for Western society.
The hard line constraints placed upon women and actions sociably acceptable in the Western world are forbidden under Islamic law probably mean a falling out between young Muslims and their more conservative parents.
This also happens in many Catholic households due to the same circumstances.

I stay home with my kids, but if I did utilize daycare I wouldn't pull them out for several reasons. First one is the kids get very connected and attached to their providers, so this would cause unnecessary problems. Also, assuming just as the hetero daycare working will refrain from making out with his/her spouse, I assume the homosexual daycare worker will as well. I am choosing to homsechool as well, and not to convert society to my way of thinking, but to protect my children from children that are raised by parents who couldn't care less what they watch, do, engage in, etc. Hope this helps from the perspective of a born again Christian :-)

Because Islam if taken too literally is rather backwards and doesnt fit in with todays values, moral standpoints and ethical views.
There are some very good parts of Islam - food hygiene laws, ummm and other stuff, but the whole degradation of women and stoning and beheading people is like something out of the dark ages
I guess more and more of them are coming to realise this and turning their back on it. I personally know many moslems here in UK who drink and go clubbing and smoke dope and are fed up with being constantly force fed religion every waking second.
good for them I say.
Rebel against religion!
rebel against governments!
rebel against monarchies!
they are all here to control us

Yes Mathilda I was happy about this new, this loss of foots from muslims army but they made me cool by telling that 30% others have planned to adopt Islam as their religions which give them 2000,000 - 200,000 = 1800,000 extra muslims. So what we will do they are gleeing for their success.

It's the sign of day of judgement... belivers will move away from truth. As in some hadit refers:
• The disappearance of knowledge and the appearance of ignorance (Bukhari, Muslim, Ibn Majah, & Ahmad)
• Books/writing will be widespread and (religious) knowledge will be low (Ahmad)
All what the prophet mohammed(pbuh) said its becoming true slowly one by one... Like Adultery and fornication will be more, Women will outnumber men, The consumption of intoxicants will be widespread . high buildings will be build,, great distance will be reached in short time.. iron will fly in sky (airoplane) and many more..its time for us keep our faith strong and firm..

to be a Christian that follows the bible you witness and stand for truth and stand against cults. IF you don't stand with God your are backslidden from him.
Psalm 119:104
Through thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way.
To be a Muslim that follows the quaran you have to kill those that will not convert. IF you don't you are a backslidden Muslim.
it is all about truth.

They did not adopt some other religion. Its just that they no longer feel connection with religion. Such people do not convert to any other religion, they just stay ignorant and lost.

Perhaps once they are liberated from such a homogeneous and involuntarily unanimous Islamic country, they start to see the truth, and no longer have to fear for their lives for making their own decisions regarding religion.
