i am not attacking Roman Catholic, please do not be insensible to think such kind of thought. I was raised Roman Catholic myself but i have burden in my hearts to share the truth by asking such question. For it is very clear God said; Php 2:13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.
Php 2:14 Do all things without murmurings and disputings:
Php 2:15 That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;
Php 2:16 Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither labored in vain.
Besides, what profit me attacking RC? My question is out of love trying to tell the truth that Lord Jesus Christ said;Joh 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Amen.

Why my heart is burdened? Because the LORD God Most High is so gracious to show me the truth, nothing but the truth that salvation belongs to God alone, John 14:6; John 3:16, but God didn't say we put traditions and ritual to pleased Him but; God said; Tit 3:4 But after that the kindness and love of God our Savior toward man appeared,
Tit 3:5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;
Tit 3:6 Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior;
Tit 3:7 That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Eph 2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
AMEN.

mr. boniface, now i know why one of my catholic friend believes that RC only need a daliy communion by partaking one bread (RC's communion bread ), and serve as one way ticket to heaven!
How sad to see people being blinded on false teaching, how sad to know people believes men and women like them and disregarding God's Holy Words! How sad to see people prefer to die in their sins because of slothfulness in seeking the truth of God, John 5:39; Matthew 6:33; Matthew 7:7; Matthew 4:4! What can i do, only the Holy Spirit can truly has the power to open the eyes of people's heart! IF they just listen to God and be wise; proverbs 3:7; 9:9! But if they don't it's their choice for what proift a man if he has all things in this world yet he/she loses his/her soul? Mark 8:36...AMEN.

The Roman Catholic system is NOT of God. He says in His word, "Come OUT of her my people".

God is not a God of traditions and rituals. He looks at the heart.

The Roman catholic church has no right to even exist in the first place! Jesus declared Himself to be the "rock" on which he built His church There are numerous references throughout the Bible where the Lord Himself is refereed to as the "rock" The Bible tells us that many would teach for doctrine "the traditions of man" which of course doesn't cut any ice with the Lord. My wife used to be a catholic until she became born again as I am and by her own admission, the catholic church runs on nothing but a lot of mumbo jumbo, none of which can lead a person to a saving knowledge of the truth.
By her own admission, the catholic church doesn't encourage in depth bible study as this would blow the lid off their false doctrine. They run the church by instilling fear into its followers and seem to present a doctrine of works for salvation rather that being justified wholly by faith of Christ which we are told in the Bible. Isn't it strange that the catholic Bible contains 2 more books that any other bible? This was added by the catholic church is is totally against the warning given in Revelation where it states that if anyone adds to the words of the prophesy of the bible, the Lord will add unto them the plagues which are written in the bible, one of the plagues is death. Little wonder the Lord will destroy the Catholic church during the tribulation for the reasons given in Revelation Ch.17 V1-9 as he describes them as "harlots" We are to note that any "church" which preaches a gospel which is other than the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ is called accursed by the Lord

The Roman Catholic Church contends that its origin is the death, resurrection, and ascension of Jesus Christ in approximately 30 A.D. The Catholic Church proclaims itself to be the Church that Jesus Christ died for, the Church that was established and built by the Apostles. Is that the true origin of the Catholic Church? On the contrary. Even a cursory reading of the New Testament will reveal that the Catholic Church does not have its origin in the teachings of Jesus, or His apostles. In the New Testament, there is no mention of the papacy, worship / adoration of Mary (or the immaculate conception of Mary, the perpetual virginity of Mary, the assumption of Mary, or Mary as co-redemptrix and mediatrix), petitioning saints in Heaven for their prayers, apostolic succession, the ordinances of the church functioning as sacraments, infant baptism, confession of sin to a priest, purgatory, indulgences, or the equal authority of church tradition and Scripture. So, the origin of the Catholic Church is not in the teachings of Jesus and His apostles, as recorded in the New Testament.

One major doctrine the Church introduced into Christianity to contaminate it is the teaching of the trinity. According to the The Catholic Encyclopedia, the Trinity teaching is “the central doctrine of the Christian religion,” defining it this way:

“In the unity of the Godhead there are Three Persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, these Three Persons being truly distinct one from another. Thus, in the words of the Athanasian Creed: ‘the Father is God, the Son is God, and the Holy Spirit is God, and yet there are not three Gods but one God.’ . . . The Persons are co-eternal and co-equal: all alike are uncreated and omnipotent.”

Ask ANY Catholic to show you ONE scripture or series of Scripture where it says God is made up of three distinct persons, Father, Son, and holy spirit, but that the three are only one God. Ask ANY Catholic to show you ONE scripture that says that the Father, Son, and holy spirit are equal in all ways, such as in eternity, power, position, and wisdom. They CAN'T do it because the 3-in-one concept of God does not exist in the Bible. Since most so-called Christian religions borrowed many of their beliefs from Catholicism, they have been corrupted as well.

Sacred Scripture, Sacred Apostolic Tradition and the teaching authority of the Church which comes from God.

Jesus said, “Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. – Matthew 7, 1-2 (KJV)

My answer to your question is the same as the other Catholics. In fact, I think you already knew beforehand how we would answer your question. This question has been asked a zillion times in YA.

If what you say were true I would be the first to leave the Catholic Church. Why do you say these things about my faith? Oh, I know what you will say, “we don't want you to go to hell; we love you.” That has to be the lamest and dullest excuse in years. Do you really expect me to fall for that line? Catholics do not bash other religions because we know we belong to the true Church. If you are so sure about your beliefs why bash Catholicism? You have already told us a million times what you do not like about our faith. And you have also warned us a million times we will go to hell with those beliefs. So, what really is your reason for attacking our faith again and again? I can only think of one reason: to validate your own faith; therefore, you are insecure and unsure of your own faith.

Fundamentalists, Evangelicals and Pentecostals talk as if no case can be made for the Catholic Church. How sure are you that you are right and we are wrong?

If you are really sure about your faith you should not turn your back from this challenge.

Jesus promised, "I will build my Church and the gates of hell will not prevail against it" (Matt. 16:18). This means that his Church will never be destroyed and will never fall away from him. His Church will survive until his return.

Among the Christian churches, only the Catholic Church has existed since the time of Jesus. Every other Christian church is an offshoot of the Catholic Church. The Eastern Orthodox churches broke away from unity with the pope in 1054. The Protestant churches were established during the Reformation, which began in 1517. (Most of today’s Protestant churches are actually offshoots of the original Protestant offshoots.) Only the Catholic Church existed in the tenth century, in the fifth century, and in the first century, faithfully teaching the doctrines given by Christ to the apostles, omitting nothing. The line of popes can be traced back, in unbroken succession, to Peter himself. This is unequaled by any institution in history: Even the oldest government is new compared to the papacy.

As for Peter, The New Testament contains five different metaphors for the foundation of the Church (Matt. 16:18, 1 Cor. 3:11, Eph. 2:20, 1 Pet. 2:5-6, Rev. 21:14). One metaphor that has been disputed is Jesus Christ’s calling the apostle Peter "rock": "You are Peter, and on this rock I will build my Church, and the gates of hell will not prevail against it" (Matt. 16:18).

Some have tried to argue that Jesus did not mean that his Church would be built on Peter but on something else.

Some argue that in this passage there is a minor difference between the Greek term for Peter (Petros) and the term for rock (petra), yet they ignore the obvious explanation: petra, a feminine noun, has simply been modifed to have a masculine ending, since one would not refer to a man (Peter) as feminine. The change in the gender is purely for stylistic reasons.

These critics also neglect the fact that Jesus spoke Aramaic, and, as John 1:42 tells us, in everyday life he actually referred to Peter as Kepha or Cephas (depending on how it is transliterated). It is that term which is then translated into Greek as petros. Thus, what Jesus actually said to Peter in Aramaic was: "You are Kepha and on this very kepha I will build my Church."

The Church Fathers, those Christians closest to the apostles in time, culture, and theological background, clearly understood that Jesus promised to build the Church on Peter, therefore the Holy Spirit is the infallible guide of the Catholic church and guides it`s traditon and doctrine

It is not necessary for rituals and traditions to be in the Bible. The Father send His Holy Spirit to whoever asks and the Holy Spirit is able to inspire us.

If a ritual or tradition does not conflict with the Bible and brings a person closer to God, then it must be from God. I do not think hte devil would entice us to do something that would bring us closer to God.

You guys are so cute when you get all sniffy at each other. "My god rules and it says so right here in the Bible!" "Oh yeah? Well right here it says that MY god is better!"

It's adorable, really, it is. It's like three-year-olds arguing over whether Woody is better than Buzz Lightyear.
