like would i have to become a special nurse .....to get to work in the childrens hospitals or just a normal nurse...?

take a course in children's nursing (different from adult or mental health) - contact your local universities

you can specialize, but only as an RN (registered nurse). Licensed practical nurses (LPNs) can't specialize. you gotta go to college, get your nursing degree, get some experience with regular nursing, because specialties don't generally take new grads, they like experienced nurses. and from there, work with the nurse educator to become specialized in pediatrics.

get intouch with youre local college ask about the access to health course that they offer it can be done in 1 year full time of 2yrs part time then apply for university when you begin youre training you will experience all diffeerent departments of the hospital then they will ask you what you prefer then they will try and get youre placemen there that way you have a better chance of working with pedriatics
