I don't have kids, but if I did I would TAKE them to church.
Have you been listening to the new Kid Rock song "Amen"?
He asks same question in it. Anyway, great taste if true.

Jesus said that churches were being used or turned into a house of thieves.
It was originated to be a house of prayer.
Sunday school seems good for children if they are being taught Jesus.
Children have a great tendency to follow the human example of how people act and what characteristics people portray, so close monitoring by parents would be a good idea I believe.
Churches have been used to control masses of people into thinking as they think when it would be reasonable to let children gain from thinking freely and not being told how to think.
I am not saying that children do not need guidance in the Lord b/c the Bible teaches that our children should be trained in the Lord but not taught through fear tactics for example,
you will burn in hell if you dont do this or that,or do this or that...etc.
What are they being taught?
The fruit of the spirit?
You will know them by thier fruits.......churches that is.

peace and love

First why are you listening to something like kid rock? Second to answer your question , no, i and my family all attend church, everytime the doors are open, however I am concerend about sending them to school. So far there not been too many sunday school teachers on the rampage, but I cant say the same about the school system.

No. Is it a bad idea for a kid to learn right from wrong and of Jesus love for us? I might be more fearful of sending a kid to school than I would be in sending him/her to church.. Ever heard of school shootings? Sorry to say but school shootings are in the news more and more these days.

Good question that I hadn't considered.

I think the answer is not so much "scared" as surprised that anybody WOULD send their kids to such a place. Why should they go?

The people who do go to church, and who manage the churches, do not appear to be very good role models for children. Surely children should be taught values like tolerance, generosity, helpfulness to others, and mental skills like analysis, creativity and insight.

I hardly think that churches are places for learning that.

I would be very choosy about what kind of church to send them to. Some churches are so full of bigotry and teach more about hell and the devil than they do about God.
Some churches would respect the child's individual nature and focus on love and peaceful relations.

I don't have kids but i am a child of church folks and i don't think that anyone should feel scared of bringing their children anywhere, church or other places, You have control over your childrens choices unless its doing them any harm, you should not fear where you take them until they can fend and think for themselves and make up their own mind whether they want to stick around or not. So fear not most kids are going to eventually reach a point where he or she is going to step up the plate and answer for themsleves.

NO! I'm scared of whats going to happen because not enough people send there kids to church. They would probably be better off going to church then they are going to public schools.

If I was a parent I would not be sending my child to church since I do not believe in god and do not believe in religion

I wouldn't send my children to church for love or money.
My kids deserve to make their own mind up about religion, not have rubbish spoon fed to them.
