how to bypass ignition switch on vehicle and add push button starter switch?

I wouldn't COMPLETELY by-pass it. It controls so many other options.
To use a push button start, just run a positive wire to your switch, then run the other wire to your starter solenoid.(Usually purple or yellow on GM)
You might have to ground the switch, depending on the model.
