I'd have to say this is a rant. You can't seriously expect us to answer why you feel as you do.

Everyone is unworthy of God's love and abundant blessings, etc. That's why Christ came, to save the unworthy.
Now, let's get down to what you say about yourself. You say you have been a Methodist all your life. That's not possible, become sometime you have to have made a decision for Christ. You don't start off a Christian. You have to get conviction of sin, repent, and then you get born again and then you're a Christian.
You say you were baptised by water, but if you are a Methodist, that means that you were baptised as an infant. That doesn't work. It's not biblical, because, obviously, babies can't make a decision for Christ.
Then you say that you still hold on to your 'old habits'. Clearly, you can't be born again, as you would have fallen out with these and cast them away by now if you were. That's one of the signs of being born again, that the bad old things drop away.
God loves you whether or not, saved or unsaved - whatever. Even if you were the biggest sinner on earth, God loves you. The Bible says it, so you can believe it. It says that Jesus Christ came into the world to save sinners (I Titus 1:15) - said by the 'chief of sinners' St. Paul.
Yes, it is God's job to make saints out of sinners and you're starting off well in that you love God and no doubt want to please him. The only trouble is, you don't seem to have got the truth into you and it's only the truth that can set you free. That is, you can't be born again without knowing how to go about it.
Trying doing it the biblical way: repent, be baptized (full immersion) and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:30). Don't just say 'the sinner's prayer'. Go deep and you'll get heard in Heaven.
If you truly repent and do your part from a sincere heart, God will do his. Jesus said 'he who comes to me I shall in no wise cast out' (John 6:37). Then you can believe, and know, that you ARE wanted. Your taste for sin will go and your old habits will begin to die away and you will get into victory over them.
But, right now, he loves you anyway, just as you are, because he is love. God's not like us - he loves the unlovely. Warts and all. You've gotta believe that.

From what Ive examine Christianity is in fact progressively increasing in terms of 'industry proportion' besides the incontrovertible fact that not as speedy as Islam. I specific do not see this as a stable concern. in case you look lower back at historic past greater violence has been committed interior the call of God than the different single reason.something which will advance the branch of guy can merely carry approximately violence. it could be completely unreasonable to assume everyone arrive self sustaining at one fake perception. So the only way nicely all finally end up with comparable perspectives is that if all of us undertake an data based device, ie. atheism or agnosticism. of direction nicely nonetheless have cultural alterations and materials to combat over so perpetual peace is probable nonetheless never going to take place.

Because you are not worthy no-one is, God does not have favorites and living as a follower of Christ is not something that gets us points on Gods star list, the servant is no better than the master and by believing and trying to live as God commands is what we are called to do as a proper state of life, too many people adpot the attitude that they should be rewarded for `being good` but God loves us even when we fall.

I was raised Christian, and that's pretty much what was beaten into my head, how unworthy I was and how merciful God was that he would humiliate himself to become man to save my sorry self.
Then, because I had a rough life and didn't see the promised blessings and sign of blessings...I figured I was pretty much too bad for even a merciful God to love.
So, I think I felt as you do, because that was the logical conclusion based on what I was taught by my church about myself, God and my relationship to the Divine.

I would think that it would be hard for you to let go of old bad habbits and even addictions if you feel unloved by God, but you are wrong in thinking that, he does love you, and he wants you to find him and a happy life, but the way you are thinking is the way that satan wants you to think, that it is hopeless for you to try to please God, he want's you to feel unloved by God and discouraged, but don't let satan fool you out of enjoying a great relationship with God and receiving many blessings, this is what satan wants, for you, that you miss out on the real life, that God wants to give to you, the best way that satan can achieve his aims is by making you and everyone else believe that God is cruel and unfeeling to ward you, and it works, many have been led astray, and away from God, in this way, but don't let satan fool you, turn to God for help and you can really benefit by getting to know God, and forming a good relationship with him, you can oppose the devil as Jesus did, and he will flee from you, another reason you may have these feelings, could be the way you were brought up,.

Your thoughts of past and present are stopping you from realizing that God loves you now.
God, who's greatest aspect is love, loves you directly.
It is your choice of addiction or habit that pulls you down into the negative thoughts of unworthiness.
God thinks beyond thought.
Before you think it or do it, he's there.
Break the cycle and move to a deeper relationship with God,
because he's waiting on you....

You are allowing Satan to condemn you, because God isnt.
Bad habits? I know its cliche but you have to fight them one day at a time with Gods help. The 1st step is realizing that we DO worldly things because we LOVE them deep down. Many people try to blow off sin likes it purely external, its not. Love for sin comes from the heart and it has to be denied, daily if necessary. Later, it does become less tempting.
Then he said to them all: "If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. -Luke 9:23
Realize that your life is supposed to lived in service and worship of God and not in slavery to habits and our old self.
Direct my footsteps according to your word; let no sin rule over me. -Psalm 199:133
For sin shall not be your master, because you are not under law, but under grace. -Romans 6:14

We have what we call superficial christians, half-baked christians or hypocritel christians..you have to know where you belong..To be a full christian, you need to "surrender" fully to your faith, you have to let God take charge of his plans for you.. this is one of the reasons why many of them backslide because they did not surrender truly and wholeheartedly, see it is not only in words that you say you are a christian, you have to activley involve yourself in the ministry, you have to commit yourself to the Lord, attend all related activities, show your faith to God not to the people, refrain from yoking with non-beleivers because they make u sway in your beliefs..so the best thing is to be consistent with HIm, and totally focusing on His word but do them, not only in words ok???

because God's love, earned without any effort on your part, seems too good to be true
we, as humans, are used to conditional love, love that can be withdrawn or withheld, and the idea of unconditional love terrifies us, because we are so afraid that we might do something to lose it
if God didn't love you, then you would not exist, and that will still be true after your death, don't get 'yourself' mixed up with your body
