When making a cup of tea, do you put Milk in first or Tea in first?
Scientist have said (sounds like they have too much time on their hands) if you put the milk in before the hot water this is meant to be the best way to make Tea. Im a Tif and everyone says that my tea is the best & I can't stand Tea when the milk is added first. How do you make & like yours & do you think sometimes people that make a bad cup of Tea do it on purpose so they don't have to make it again because I think thats what my boyfriend does

Do you think there is a difference in which way you make it. Not sure? If you have made tea the same way and never tried the other way, change how you make it once and see if you think there is a difference and let me know :-)

milk cools the water and every one knows (except scientists obviously) that tea needs boiling water to brew to make it a decent cuppa.
so I'm a tif too.
:-)

I don't get how it makes any difference to the tea...
surely if there's the same amount of milk/water/tea in each cup, it doesn't matter in what order the 'ingredients' go in?

mmm, well...

milk was added first, because we didnt glaze our cups, and the hot water would crack the cup...

adding milk first reduced the temperature "shock" and the cup survived.. at least till the washing up...

nowadays i use a fancy thermal mug, tea in, boiling water and a slosh of milk.. lid on, and it sits there... tea bag in... til im ready to drink it.
