what does it mean for someone to be a fool at forty?

someone who has refused to grow at the pace he/she is supposed to.someone who does not know what/she is supposed to know and has refused to do something about it,is a fool at forty.it can also be described as someone whose character,behaviour values and beliefs is not commensurate with his age and supposed status in life.

This is just the irony of life begins at 4o.........so when he is a fool at 40, this means that he hasn't learned any lessons yet in life...and he has just started to do foolish things and can't realize what the mess he is in...not learning the knack of being matured you know...that is why he is a fool at 40.And who is that???Not me for sure..half the age........
