Cooker cutter plots are plots where they are exactly the same as other movies, only the names and places have changed.

A very common one is the buddy cop movie:

*Two cops pushed together by circumstance, one very different from the other. Two people who normally wouldn't be near each other
*Lots of "odd-couple" frustration and antics, usually funny
*Growing bond between the two as they learn to understand each other
*The 'big misundertsanding,' cops split
*Quick resolution of personal problems just in time to win the day

How many movies can you name with this plot? Those are cookie cutter plots.

Any film in which a "happy ending" is had, similar to a fairy tale.
