Try wearing a lot of rings on your fingers. It will probably make it uncomfortable for you to crack them. Also, whenever you feel the urge to start cracking, busy yourself: play videogames, garden, cook... Whatever, so long as you are not idle. Idleness will make you want to crack them.

The excess of dryness energy in our body creates this problem.
Lack of exercise or hard work also create it.
If you don't have hard work do some regular exercises.
Never eat without hunger.
Loss of appetite cause poor assimilation of nutrients and so dryness increases. It further results in constipation and problem worsens.
