By this time you should have a reasonably good idea what he likes. Choose your menu from that "list". But make some kind of special dessert like chocolate mousse with fresh strawberries and a little real whipped cream (not that canned stuff). Does he like wine? Pinot noir (red) goes nice with beef; chardonnay (white) goes nice with chicken. California wines are particularly good and costs a fraction of what imported wine costs. If he likes beer, a Belgian beer like Hoegaarden (who-garden) is nice. German beers are also excellent.

Now you'll want to make a nice presentation too; so cover the table with a clean and ironed cloth and use cloth napkins. Have some candles (at least 4) on the table as well as a small arrangement of fresh flowers. Use your very best dishes and silverware and real wine glasses. It doesn't matter whether you'll be drinking wine or beer, the glasses add a little touch of glass. Turn down the lights a little and have a wonderfully romantic time together. Don't worry about doing the dishes. You can attend to them the next day.

Hello -- My best advice is talk to the men you are inviting and get some feed back on what they like (asking them individually will make them feel special). From there you can plan a menu that won't please everyone, (that is impossible) but will show that you tried. Make sure to have plenty of cold beverages on hand (are they beer drinkers). Speaking as a good, hard-working man I can give you one piece of definite advice USE MEAT! Unless the guys are vegetarians meat is important to them. This doesn't mean you can't have a casserole, it simply means that a good marinara with a lots of fried hamburger in it is preferred over a white sauce with extra cheese. Also I would add that often times the best part of a meal is not the food but the company. So if you have a comfortable place to eat and large portions ... things should be fine. Try making dishes you are comfortable with, most men enjoy raw fresh fruits. Good luck

Less fancy but mighty pleasing is a plate of beef and noodles, using the frozen big hefty long rectangular noodles a lot of U.S. supermarkets carry. Cut up the beef into pieces and sautee with salt and pepper, boil the noodles, and mix 'em together. These noodles taste like really great dumplings. Serve with a favorite vegetable and he'll be amazed at your down-to-earth kitchen talents..

I'd cook steak with baby new potatoes, mushrooms, onion rings and a side salad. I'd also do a starter , probably prawn cocktail and a lovely gooey chocolate cake for dessert with fresh cream. Yummmy!

okay...my answer would be unreliable but my hand just itched to write it.

The best dinner to win a man's heart would be to end it by having a special 'you' for dessert.

haha. sorry. i cant help myself. gosh so cliche.

It depends on what type of meal he prefers(does he like a breakfast , lunch, dinner?) and what his favorite foods are. I would try to make his favorites, my boyfriend really loves breakfast anytime, so I find myself making banana pancakes with him for dinner! He loves helping me make them since he never cooks. Anyway, you asked for a dinner idea, I would go with macaroni and cheese, chicken, and beggies on the side, or chicken tacos with sour creme(they are my boyfriends fav.) Goodluck!

If you have been with him for 2 years, you will have an idea of his favourite meat. I love to do Coq au Vin, its a great one pot dish, and you can serve it with whatever you want. I usually choose garlic sauted potatoes and veg. It does take a bit of prepping, and a couple of hours to cook, but it is soooooo worth it!
Good luck.
