I don't know, but if you have ever looked at the inside of a teapot and wondered what your insides look like as a result, isn't that enough to put you off? You should consume roughly four pints of water a day, according to all the advice.

Tea, coffee, beer, milk etc all contain water but should not be considered as a substitute for water. Apart from milk the others are diuretic which cause you to urinate more and therefore you lose water at a faster rate. Just think that when you drink coffee especially, although beer does the same, you seem to pee more than the actual quantity drunk. Remember, when you are thirsty, that is too late. You should drink water little and often and never reach the raging thirst stage. 4 pints has proved to be too much for some and insufficient for others. I adopt the policy of drinking a half pint in the morning at about 8am. A glass during mid morning, one after lunch and one in the evening at about 8am. This is in addition to tea etc.

Tea is just fine -- in fact, several studies show it is good for you. Boiling the water ensures it is germ-free (at some point), and the tea can do wonderful things for you.

If you have trouble sleeping, though, you may want to cut back, or switch to herb tea.

Try 4 pints a day for liquids. More if you are overweight, or very active. Or if you feel thirsty, of course.

You should be drinking at least 2 litres of water/day. Up to 4 cups of tea can count towards this, but as tea contains caffeine and is a diuretic, it actually contributes to water loss. Try fruit teas as an alternative, they are a bit of an acquired taste - leave the bag in for maximum flavour.

You should drink 8 pints of water a day as the body is made up of at least 40% of water or something like that.

Drinking tea is fine, its the added milk and sugar that can cause problems - so long as you keep thsoe to a minimum, or not at all you'll be fine. If normal barring milk and sugar is too much try herbal or fruit teas

With regards to water, you should aim two litres a day.

you should drink up to 8glasses of water a day, this helps to hydrate your skin and hair.drinking water will also make you feel more energetic.you can tell if you re dehydrated by the colour if your pee!!the darker the pee the more water you need to drink.you can use cordial to flavour the water if you don't like the taste of plain boring water. tea has caffeine in it so really isn't that good for you .x

I'd suggest alongside with your tea you still drink 2 glasses of water a day at least..filtered is best...though tea is not bad, nor is pure water in your system..
