Judging by some of these answers, they do not just go by hearsay. It seems that some of them are psychotic and just make up things. There are medications which can help with this.

I'm a Catholic and I'm having trouble understanding this question. I know that I (and the Church) have been accused time and time again of things that simply aren't true.
Sometimes others look down upon us for things no current Catholic can be guilty of, like the Crusades or the Inquisition. On that note, every American should be guilty of slavery or taking this land from the Native Americans.
I myself don't claim to be any better than any other Christian, but others believe that I do, just because I call myself a Catholic.

and you won't allow any member of your faith to go to another church, its sinful, and you wont be transparent by opening up the Vatican secret library for public scrutiny will you? and everybody else is doomed to hell, aren't they?
So what is the truth you have been trying to tell us?
Is all this just hearsay? Get out and look at the real world for a change and theres so much more which is not hearsay.
Thank You.

Many of them have converted. After reading some verses on bible then they realized that leaders are wrong and all this time they were fallowing man. Man with their own options and interpretations. Those men will always try to deceive them and lie to them to keep them. Remember it a business to them. Sometime even the leaders are deceived by others. Plus, I was one of them. Look at EWTN on the Journey Home or www.catholic.com on the radio internet, one will find experience of converts. One of the obstacles most covert go through is pride of being wrong. Though their experiences, one will see Jesus God guiding them to the Catholic Church. Remember we can only show them they way but God will guide them right path and open their heart and eyes that why we have to pray for them.

rapid solutions under. For greater intensity, I propose asking each and each question one by one. a million:Why do Catholics have confidence it quite is mandatory to have fun Christmas claiming that it quite is Jesus' birthday while it quite is not suggested in the bible? Christmas celebrates God coming to be born between us as someone. that's in the Bible--see John a million. 2:Why do alot of Catholic clergymen and better united statespractice celibacy it somewhat is to stay single and in no way marry? by using fact Jesus stated it (see Matt 19:12). that's a rule of self-discipline that could desire to alter. 3:What are the reasonings of having statues and pictures in the church? To remind us of the historic activities and persons who replaced the international, extraordinarily Jesus death on the go. 4:Why are Catholics forbidden to consume meat aside from fish on Friday? that's a shared sacrifice, a small one, that we make to advance greater acceptable and greater disciplined for the period of the season of Lent. maximum persons address different disciplines in the time of Lent. 5:Catholics, do you or do not declare to worship the pope? we don't. 6:Why do maximum non-Catholics declare which you moved the Sabbath to Sunday? This became right into a call of the early church to have fun on the day of the Resurrection. As Jesus taught, the Sabbath is made for guy, not vice versa. 7:what's the declare which you worship Mary, you quite declare to venerate Mary. We venerate her as our ultimate saint. we don't worship Mary. 8:what's the seen infant baptism? that's in baptism that we are born returned by utilising water and the Spirit and advance into babies of God. we could like our toddlers to be born returned in infancy. 9:What are the conclusions that St Peter became into the 1st Pope? Jesus appointed Peter by using fact the 1st chief of the Church (see Matt sixteen:18), a place we now call pope. Cheers, Bruce

I am LDS. I am Cristian. I believe that my Church is the truth. I know that it's the truth. I could counter and ask why you won't accept that the LDS Church is true. I however feel, that it's more important that you're happy and at peace with your religion. All I ask is this, Please. Find God. Love him and do whatever it takes to make it back to him. In the end...I believe we all have a change to get there.
I know that the opportunity will be presented to each and everyone of us. Just have faith and know, in the end it will all come together.

I have no idea what these "Accusations" are, but the Catholic church has always been the subject of controversy. Besides some people simply don't find any spiritual connection with catholicism.

Sorry, I am only accepting Jesus Christ as the truth. I do not follow any religion or particular denomination, that I why I am non-denominational Christian. I follow the truth. You need to follow what you think is the truth. And God's judgment is Just.

the big problem i see is that for every posting saying 'we catholics do this', there is another one saying 'we catholics DON'T do this'...i've never been overly concerned with, or interested in, the rcc, to be perfectly honest...sorry, i have more pressing matters to think about. i'm not trying to offend, i'm just telling it like it is...in 40 years of attending 'non-catholic' (mostly baptist) churches, i still have yet to hear the rcc mentioned in a sermon, a sunday school lesson, a bible study discussion, or even during open devotion-we're too busy talking about, studying, and worshiping Christ

The biggest questions I have with catholicism are praying to Mary, "saints" and angels (forbidden in scripture as idolatry), the forbidding of priests to marry (spoken against in scripture as a sign of the end times - 1Tim 4:1-3), the idols inside churches, the concept of penance (If we confess our sins, God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from ALL unrighteousness - 1John 1:9) purgatory (it is appointed to all men to die and then the judgment - Heb 9:26) and infant baptism (scripture teaches that baptism is a sign of obedience in one who has been born again to symbolize dying to sin and living for God). The Catholic church's insistence on doing these things even against the commands of scripture is the reason why I left the Catholic faith after reading for myself what the bible had to say about the common practices of the denomination I was a part of. This is not hearsay, it is in the bible, you know that book from which we as Christians are supposed to get our doctrine and I challenge anyone to find scriptural approval for these common catholic practices.
EDIT: I'm not exactly sure what catholics are disagreeing with here. It's quite simple really. We have repeatedly answered the question, using scripture, even providing references in case there was ever any doubt as to what the bible really means with regard to idolatry, praying to angels Mary and other dead people, forbidding priests to marry, thinking that Gods' forgiveness alone is inadequate; that a priest must absolve you and you perform penance. Are you disagreeing with the Bible itself?
And to Raven - calling us psychotic and suggesting we go on medication would have to be one of the worst examples of willful and rebellious arrogance that I have ever seen, made so much worse for the fact that it comes from a person who has repeatedly claimed to follow the Christian faith. Not only have you insulted me this time in your willful ignorance but you have insulted every Christian here who (A) clearly know their bibles better than you obviously know yours and (B) you have also insulted every Christian here who believes that the Bible is the inspired Word of God and the final authority on all Christian doctrine. The truth of scripture is once again staring you full in the face and you still refuse to believe. Are you above the commands of God? I ask you again - what is it in the bible that you actually disagree with and feel that you have a right to ignore?
