I don't have arthritis (I think), but I do get a lot of aches and pains. I notice if I stay away from the sugar and refined sweets, the pain is better.

You are allowed to eat some nice foods, though. Salmon, walnuts, ginger. Mmmmm! They are supposed to help arthritis, according to my friend who has rheumatoid A.

Salmon (and indeed any well cooked seafood) is fine! Ignore the answer above! The only thing with seafood is to be aware that some fish should be eaten sparingly - sharkfish / tuna (2-3 cans a week is fine) because of the high mercury levels... Even prawns are ok if they have been cooked with their shells off - just make sure they are really well cooked

Which type of arthritis are you asking about - Rheumatoid or Osteo?

I have Severe Osteoarthritis - AKA Degenerative Arthritis - and there are no food restrictions for it that I know of either because of the disease or the meds that I take.
