Yes it does, at a lower level than in the summer. There are many interesting and beautiful things to see in Turkey other than beaches! Of the cities I think Istanbul repays a visit with fascinating history, museums and relics. Ayasofia is a world site and the Sultan Ahmet is a very special mosque, it takes your breath away. In the Cesme area near Izmir there are health Spa with thermal waters that stay open, and there is even lots of sunshine in the winter (rain too)Of course the south of the country around Antalya has the best of the weather. If you have an interest and an imagination there is something for everyone. So if you think about visiting Turkiye in the winter - do some research and I know that you will have a great time.

Yes, it stays active for snowy areas for example Kartalkaya is a great ski center.
And also for Christmas Bodrum and Istanbul are very popular.
Istanbul is popular all year long so tourism is active there all the year.
And there is another stuff which is SPA tourism like hammams and stuff active all the year.
And one last thing some people go to south of Turkey in winter to rest only although you can not swim.( they swim in the hotel pool)

it can't be active as it used to be in summers but Turkey is a country that can be visited in every season and in every 365 days! People mostly prefer cultural and historical places to visit in winters so it is normal to see the transatlantics full of tourists in Turkey in winters too. There is no time that i don't see tourist in istanbul in a year.

I spoke to my mother in Marmaris not five minutes ago. She said Marmaris is filled to brim with tourists. It seems they are enjoying the off-season.

In my opinion, it really is the best time to go south. You can actually roam the place without getting fried in the sun.

Terrorism has no seasons.

We are still fighting with these terrorists day and night , winter and summer. And we will keep fighting on the mountain and under water till the last terrorist die.
