No, but even if they were to fall in off your cat, they would be cleaned out when you change the litter. Just make sure you scoop it out daily as you should anyway. Fleas do however lay eggs in your carpets and couches so if you are having a problem with fleas make sure you get a good flea killer like pro spot for cats and dogs if you have them and you may need to bomb the house at least once to kill anything in the house.

If there are fleas on the cat then it is logical that they could fall in the litter. They probably would not stay there long but look for the next source of food. I believe there are some additives like red wood chips that you can add to the litter to cut down on fleas. They are available from pet supply stores.

Fleas can be anywhere, but they'd be unlikely to hang around for long in cat litter. You can't see flea eggs, they're microscopic, so invisible to the naked eye.

If you're seeing black specks in your cat's litter or on your cat, these are flea DIRTS (poos). They're the first sign that fleas are present. If you're not flea treating your cat properly, it's likely she has them even if she's an indoor cat.

Proper flea treatments , like Frontline, can be bought from vets. Don't waste money on store-bought products. Pet stores aren't licensed to sell the proper chemicals for flea treatment - anything you find in store is just going to be a basic pesticide that you can't expect to work.

Flea eggs, yes. They get ingested when the cat (or dog) grooms itself. Flea eggs have a lengthy life-span and can survive the digestive tract of any animal. Don't know about adult fleas. It's always the eggs you have to worry about. They can have a prolonged emerging time-line, depending on conditions. Always clean out litter boxes on a daily basis and ensure of immediate disposal.

Sadly, yes it can.
I had newborn kitties and within days they were infested with fleas - I felt so bad! I used Frontline on mommy and the other adult animals and the fleas went away. Then vaccumed the area, and changed their blanket they layed on every few days. It helped a lot.

Absolutely. Especially if you let your cat outdoors which is something you shouldn't do.

Fleas are big enough that you should be able to see them. If indeed there are flees in the box odds are very good they will be elsewhere in the house.

There are powders you can use on your rugs to kill the fleas. Sprinkle it on then vacuum it up. You may have to do this twice to get them all.

Good luck.
