The latest issue of National Geographic Magazine (November 2007) has a front page heralded article entitled, "Memory, Why we remember, Why we forget." It may help you ascertain whether he actually has a memory problem or whether he is just being stubborn in responding. What do his parents think of his memory? How is he doing in school? I would tell them that if they think he has and has had a memory problem to first go to a GP physician who may recommend a pediatrician if he thinks he really has a problem.

Good luck to you and your nephew, good mental health, peace and Love!
