It took 3 months to get my braces on.

Visit 1--evaluation by orthodontist, appointment with dentist.

Visit 2--dentist pulled four teeth

Visit 3--metal spacers bashed in between teeth to force them to move far enough apart to accept banding with braces
'
Visit 4--metal spacers replaced by rubber spacers

Visit 5--spacers removed, metal bands applied

Visit 6--wires applied, hooks put in, rubber bands stretched and I FINALLY had my braces!

Yes they are glued on individually, they apply the little brackets with a special type of cement (it doesn't harm your teeth) then you have to go back in a couple of days and they put the wire in. To apply the brackets approx. 45 mins

there are a few types of braces out now..but the old school kind that i had were on individually. its kind of cool when they come off..they just pop off..

it doesnt take TOO long. usually waiting for the orthodontist is th elongest part.

it takes a lot of individual appointments. One for the brackets, one for the wires, one for the tightening. Each brackett is glued on indivudually too.
