I am that
This is ultimate cognition.

I remember when I was a small child it wasn't "who" I knew or "what" I knew, I just had my eye on the ice cream!! =D
As conditioned adults,we have become intangled in the mind...to extremes! Teaching, belief systems, etc., have stolen our naturalness. We twist around in our karmic thought patterns like a fly caught in a web.
The strain of knowledge has been exacerbated by our easy access to yet more knowledge, e.g., Internet, T.V., movies, etc. We are told how we 'should' look, how we 'should' behave, how we'should' live, how we 'should' believe...on and on.
To pick ones way through this minefield of input and keep the simple, naturalness of 'that' we were born with isn't easy.
Right now, the brilliant sun is crossing the room I am in. All the colors are vibrant, I can hear a distant airplane, there is a chill in the air, everything seems to be soft and quiet. I can feel my hands, my warm slippers, hot coffee...there is no who, no belief all there is, is this...and it's all I need to know, right now. ;)
Thanks for your great reminder!

I don't think there's a difference between 'what' and 'who'.
There's certainly a difference between belief and gnosis.
For me right now it's gnosis backed up with the belief that both will eventually go POP!

I must admit I do think its WHO YOU KNOW-in some cases
just look at some of the young kids in the public eye today most a lot of them have famous mothers or fathers who get them into the industry--
even in sport say a cricket team for young boys if the kid has a parent who runs the club you can bet your bottom dollar he will get a game over kids who have the same or even better skills
Work situation is the same go for an interview with the same qualifications but if a friend of a friend can put a word in ---and so it goes on
OH SORRY I THINK I HAVE MISUNDERSTOOD THE QUESTION

It's neither.
What Is...is, regardless of whether we know it, act on it, etc.
The truth and how the universe operates is not dependent upon the beliefs of any individual human.
Our beliefs influence our lives and the lives of those around us, but not the ultimate outcome. We will die, the universe will go on.

Many people are trying to attain knowledge instead of seeking to know God, the Source of knowledge.

To Know one must first Forget.
To have Belief one must test Faith.
To Be one must Question.
Divinity smiles as the Answer.

It is not to know at all...not even to seek, for seeking assumes an end (goal). It is to be open; who and what merge and all is one then. No knowledge required.
