guys, any reason why you will like flirting with this one girl (who is already taken), care for her so much. and you do not want sex, do not like her in that special way. flirt because you like her as a friend? is it possible

It is possible to flirt just for fun with a friend. It isn't very likely, but it is possible. Flirting in any serious manner usually indicates an attraction. The occasional, random comment when an opportunity arises is different. But if the flirting is often or protracted, it's not just for fun, at least not completely.

Of course there's a reason, because you want to get with her whether it be sexually or in hopes of having a relationship that will eventually lead to sex. I think it's possible for a man to flirt with a women at times for fun to see if they've "still got it." But not usually, men flirt because they want more then just to be friends-men don't know how to be friends with-lets say semi hot to hot women without wanting to be more then just friends. Why do you think most women have this dude on the side who they say is just a friend, typical answer, he's always there for me to listen, he cares about me, no he doesn't like me in that way, and so on and so forth. Because one day if and when things go bad with you and your boyfriend or husband he's hoping that you'll turn to him as you have always done, hoping that something more will come out of this since according to most women he's always been there for you. Devious little scheme but it works. And no I've never been that dude. lol

Love to flirt. A good communication skill. I think it is healthy as long as it's done in a respectful way. It lets the other person know that she/he is attractive. I wouldn't make it a "habit" to flirt with someone I knew who is in a committed relationship because that would be disrespectful to her and her partner by not acknowledging their choice of each other as partners.
