It does not say that he wants you back (maybe he does but he evidently sees no chance at this point).

One feels some angry because of all the effort put into the relationship and the other just went off to another lover.
Just what was said. The was left open by one but shut by the other.

hmmmm kinda says that he was thinking a little about what it would be like getting back with you. he cherished u and loved u so much but he was so disappointed / sad that the other guy ended up with u.
