Why is there an upside down cross on the popes chair?
I thought that the upside down cross is a satanic symbol.

St Peter was crucified upside down.
(duh)
Satan doesn't have a sign.
For a while, it was the pentacle
For another while, it was the snake (turned out to be a symbol for physicians.)
For another while, goat's horns.

He changes so often it's harder to nail him down than it is to nail jello to the wall.

Satanists can use any symbols they want to use, but the upside down cross is a reminder of the way St. Peter, the first Pope, was crucified and martyred in Rome ... upside down.

A St. Peter's Cross is an inverted Latin cross.

The origin of this symbol comes from belief that St. Peter was crucified upside down, as he felt he was unworthy to be crucified in the same manner that Christ died (upright).

An inverted cross has been the symbol of the Popes ever since.

St. Peter was crucified upside down.

If what you say were true (the upside down cross is a satanic symbol) I would be the first to leave the Catholic Church. Jesus said, “Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. – Matthew 7, 1-2 (KJV)

My answer to your question is the same as the other Catholics. In fact, I think you already knew beforehand how we would answer your question. This question has been asked a zillion times in YA.

Why do you say these things about my faith? Oh, I know what you will say, “we don't want you to go to hell; we love you.” That has to be the lamest and dullest excuse in years. Do you really expect us to fall for that line? Catholics do not bash other religions because we know we belong to the true Church. If you are so sure about your beliefs why bash Catholicism? You have already told us a million times what you do not like about our faith. And you have also warned us a million times we will go to hell with those beliefs. So, what really is your reason for attacking our faith again and again? I can only think of one reason: to validate your own faith; therefore, you are insecure and unsure of your own faith.

Fundamentalists, Evangelicals and Pentecostals talk as if no case can be made for the Catholic Church. How sure are you that you are right and we are wrong?

If you are really sure about your faith you should not turn your back from this challenge.

You owe it to yourself to accept the challenge because you should be worried about your own salvation not us.

It is just one of the many pagan symbols in plain view that Catholics choose not to see.

Form the balcony that the pope speaks from you can look down to the courtyard and see a huge pagan fertility symbol in the paving stones.

These are not accidental., but rather they reveal the roots of the Catholic church., but then so does the unChristian doctrines that they teach , like hellfire , the immortality of the soul , Mary and saints worship , and the list goes on and on. --- and on.

Pope does not Believe in the Bible or live by it. Pope is to spread lies about religion and confuse people so no one will enter though the narrow gates. But the bible shows the truth and we do not need a pope to teach us but Jesus is the one we need to go to for forgiveness of sins
