A lot of girls/guys at bars are just looking for a one night stand. Everyone has their own definition of quality though.

Because quality people are too busy to be drinking themselves stupid in the bar and are obviously lonely if they are going there to pick up men/women. That seems to work for them because everybody is on the same level as them.
Meet somebody in a better place, like the book store, or an art museum, hell any museum.

normally if you are looking to meet someone in a bar you are just going to hook up and thats it

because your most likely going to meet winos and other people like that in bars, people drinking to forget
