So, it's done, and I've got 4 free days to spend in L.A. in December. What would you recommend me?

Hmmm well, you can go to the beaches (of course), but it's probably too cold to go in the water. Maybe go to the Getty Art Museum. It's high on a hill and you get a great view of te surrounding area and I think it would be very clear (for L.A. anyways) in December. Disneyland (depending on how old you are) in Orange County. Perhaps see the stars names on the sidewalks (not too exciting), Universal Studios theme park, olvera street in downtown l.a.. Or maybe Sea World, or the San Diego Zoo if you don't mind driving. Or just go shopping.

Venice is fun to go to if you have never been. I recommend the drum circles. You'll know what i'm talking about if you see huge group of people in the middle of the sand and hear the drums. Of course stay clear of some of the crazies out there. Other then that you have Disneyland, Hollywood (although not something very fun if you've lived here I guess...but lots of people love it there), I would suggest a few other places but because of the fires your out of luck for some interesting places. LACMA is doing a Salvador Dali thing till January I believe...I haven't gotten to go there but I want to! Pasadena has some cool shops on Colorado Blvd (Melrose in hollywood is good too). Hope it helps! Good luck!

Um, there's the big fire going on...so it might not be a good idea to go there at this moment in time.
But usually, LA is a place known for:
- Amusement parks (Six Flags Magic Mountain, Disneyland, Universal Studio)
- Shopping (Rodeo Drive Beverly Hills, Southcoast Plaza Mall)
- Food (wonderful food from all ethnicity/type, my fave is Matsuhisa Japanese Restaurant by famous Jap chef Nobu)
- The beach (Malibu, San Diego, Santa Monica)

4 days wouldn't be enough to cover all of LA, but if you can get a taste of the above list, then that's pretty good.

To answer that question, you should answer this, what did you like doing visiting other cities? If you liked the beaches, we have good beaches (Malibu/Santa Monica). If you have a family, there are some good amusement parks (Disney/Univieral Studios). If you like museums, we have some of the best in the world (Getty/LACMA). Are you looking for excitement like dancing and clubs, go to Hollywood/West Hollywood pretty much any night. If you like the City feel, maybe Pasadena or Downtown LA/Koreatown. If you like nature, go to Huntington Library. If you like wine tasting/country driving, drive up the coast to Santa Barbara/Solvang.
